The trend everyone is talking about for 2022 is ‘Grandmillenial’ - a term combining the words ‘grandma’ and ‘millennial’. This style is rooted in traditional interior design from the late 20^th Century and gained popularity, not as an ironic throwback, but as a genuine appreciation of classic design, featuring high-quality furnishings, pretty patterns, elaborate trimmings, statement chandeliers and traditional furniture – but with a contemporary twist.  It seems many design-savvy millennials have become disenchanted with homogenized interiors and have gravitated to this style for its historical, rich and wholesome aesthetic. 

Another key trend we have identified is the use of pale blues and other pastel tones. In this mood board, we have chosen to combine these themes to give a ‘New England’ slant to the trend – a look that was very popular in the 1990s and 2000s. Designed by James Pilling.
